Staying Active With A Busy Schedule. We hear you. It's hard to always fit in a workout. Here are some tips on ways to stay active even if there's no time for a workout. From sitting at work to busy parents, small activities add together to maintain an active life.

Getting Started. As you start you physical activity journey, there are some key points to keep in mind. The amount and type of activity depends on your age. When doing vigorous activity, it should be hard to hold a conversation. Moderate intensity activity should be a bit easier to hold a conversation. It's important to find the right workouts for your personal needs. Check out the link to start your journey off right!
Stretching: Why It's Important. Stretching should be integrated daily in some form. Stretching is an important component to each workout as part of warming up and cooling down. Both dynamic and static stretching should be utilized to increase range of motion and improve mobility of joints. Stretching makes daily tasks easier.
The Dimensions Of Yoga. Yoga is your new workout friend! Yoga is all inclusive and is provided in many styles. Cardio, stretching, and strength yoga are just some variations that allow you to tailor your workout to you needs and switch things up a bit. Although there is a spiritual aspect to yoga, you do not have to be religious to enjoy all the benefits yoga has to offer.
Aerobic versus Anaerobic. Aerobic activities require lots of oxygen for a longer period of time. Anaerobic activities do not require oxygen as energy and often allow breaks in between exercises.
The Mind Muscle Connection. Mind muscle connection included actively thinking about the muscles being used during a specific workout. Focusing on the muscles activated encourages proper form and helps enhance outcomes of your workout.
Functional Fitness. Functional fitness describes exercises that help mimic everyday activities and work to prevent injuries when performing daily tasks. These exercises can be made easier or harder and are a great addition to any workout routine.
Working Smarter Not Harder. Getting the most out of each workout is about being mindful of form and technique during each exercise. By working smart you can minimize time in the gym and still get great results.
Take The Chore Out of Exercise! A conventional fitness routine can get boring. There are many ways to get activity in without the gym! Grab friends and family and make a game out of any activity. Focus on different types of fitness too, such as low-impact, or combine cardio and strength in an energetic HIIT workout.
Why is Exercise Important? Regular exercise improves more than just your physical health. Exercise is a great way to create social connection. Exercise may also help improve you mental health. There are many ways to get active that take the chore out of exercise. Overall, activity is always better than inactivity.
